Beef Ularthiyathu -2


Ingredients

Marinate:
Beef 1 kg
Ginger big piece
Shallot-one diced
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Pepper powder-1 1/2 tsp
Green chilly-3
Salt

For roast
Coconut oil-3tbsp
fennel seed- 1/8 tsp to splutter
Garlic -6 PC
Ginger-1 inch piece
Green chilly-1
Shallot - 4big ones diced
Big onion-1 1/2 chopped
Fennel seed powder- 1/4 tsp
Mulaku podi-1tsp
Coriander powder1 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
tomato- 1/2 tomato
Coconut bit pieces- as required
Curry leaves -3-4 spring


Preparation:   

  • Marinate the cleaned beef pieces with the ingredients listed under marination. Keep it aside for 15 mins. Pressure cook till the beef is done. 

  • Heat up a thick bottom pan and add coconut oil

  • Add curry leaves and fennel seeds to the pan

  • Add ginger,green chilly and garlic slices and saute it for few minutes until they turn light brown

  • Add diced shallots and big onions,add some salt to it and let the onion become translucent

  • Once the onion is soft and slightly brown,add all the spices and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes

  • Add tomato to the mixture and cook for another 5 mins.

  • Add coconut bit pieces and beef to the mixture and  dry roast for 10-15 mins

  • At the end add sme curry leaves and turn off the heat.

      

    Beef roast is ready to be served!!
