Special Chicken Curry with medium gravy



Ingredients:


  1. Chicken -3/4 kg
  2. Oil -As required
  3. Curry leaves-1 Spring
  4. Onion -2 big chopped finely
  5. Ginger -1 inch
  6. Garlic - 4 big cloves
  7. Meat masala powder -5 tbsp
  8. All spice powder -1/2 tsp
  9. Coriander powder -2 tsp
  10. Chilly powder- 1/2 tsp


Preparation:


1.Heat oil in a pan(I used coconut oil and non stick pan) and saute finely chopped onion until they are soft and brown in color.

2.To the above add minced garlic and ginger and saute for 4 minutes.

3.Add in all the spices above and saute until the oil separate from the mixture.

4.Add chicken and mix really well with the spice and let it cook for another 10 minutes.Check in between to make sure its cooking well.

5.when the chicken is half cooked,add salt as required.If the spice mix is sticking on to bottom of the pan,add water in small quantities.

6.When the chicken is almost cooked,add in the curry leaves and turn of the heat.Close the pan with lid and let it sit for a while before serving.

Notes:

1.I didn't add so much of water as it taste good with less gravy.If you want you can add water according to your choice. 

2.This is a medium spiced, medium gravy chicken curry which goes well with Chapati,Bread,Appam and rice.
