Ingredients
- Beef -1 kg cubed
- Ginger 2 inch piece
- Garlic hand full
- Greenchilly-3
- French Shallots big 4- chopped
- Red Onion/Savala-2 thinly chopped
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Coriander powder -4 tsp
- Chilli powder-3/4 tsp
- Pepper powder-1 tsp
- Fennel powder-1 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala-1 1/2 tsp
- Tomato 2 Roma
- Curry leaves - 2spring
- Oil- used coconut oil
- Salt- As required
How To make It
- Wash Cubed Beef pieces and pressure cook with some ginger slices,ground pepper and turmeric
- On a thick bottom pan,Add oil and Saute the Ginger ,garlic and greenchilly
- Add Onions,both shallots and red onion to the pan with some salt and wait until the onions become translucent by stirring occasionally
- Add All the spices and saute the mixture for 5-10 minutes.Make sure the spice mix does not get burnt.Tip to this is to make sure you are on low heat and you can close the pan and stir every 2-3 minutes in between
- Add the tomato and let the mixture cook for anothe 10-15 mins.Make sure you sir occassionally.Same as step above
- Once the oil starts separating from the mixture,Or the spice mix becomes shiny you are good to add cooked beef with its gravy,curry leaves and let it cook for another 5 mins
- Serve with chapati,porotta,Appam,Bread or Rice
