Mutton Fry


Ingredients

Mutton -1 kg
Kashmiri chilly powder -5 tbsp
Turmeric -1/2 tsp
Garlic -10 big cloves
fennel -5 tbsp
Salt -As requierd
Coconut oil - 250 ml
Curry leaves - 5 springs

Instruction

  1. In a  mixer grinder,add 2 tbsp kashmiri chilly, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,Toasted 2 tbsp fennel,garlic 10 pods and grind them to a paste.Add water if needed to be grind well.
  2. Mix the above spice mix to the cleaned mutton pieces along with salt and mix well.
  3. Transfer the above mixture to a pressure cooker,cook until the meat is cooked..
  4. Once the pressure has been released,open the pressure cooker.If there is water in the meat mixture,keep on the heat and let it boil and water evaporate from the meat.The meat should be dry.
  5. Heat a thick bottom pan,Add 250 ml coconut oil,once heated up add curry leaves and then the spiced cooked mutton.Fry to the desired consistency.
  6. Mutton fry is ready to be served!
