Ingredients
- Dried green peas -1 1/2 cup or 250gm soaked for atleast 4 hours
- cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Onions - 1 large or 150gm chopped
- Green chilly -1
- Tomato-1 or 60gm medium
- Red chilly powder - 1.5 tsp
- Coriander powder - 3.5tsp
- cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Water as needed
- oil - 2bsp or 10gm
Preparation:
- Method Soak green peas 4 hours ,wash well and drain
- In a pressure cooker cook green peas on medium until a whisle blows.Turn off and wait for pressure to release.
- Add oil , splutter some cumin seeds,saute garlic.once aroma changes add onion,garlic and green chilly
- Once onion turns translucent,add spices and saute for some time.M
- Add tomato and cook for another 3 minutes
- Add cooked green peas .
- Boil the curry for 10 minutes on low heat.
- Add diced tomato and cilantro to garnish.
- Now the curry is ready to be served.
