Ingredients
All purpose flour -3 1/2 cups or 500gmSugar -1/4 cup
Butter -1/4 cup or 56gms
Salt-1 tsp
Yeast- 2 1/2 tsp
Water(Luke warm) -1/2 cup
Sugar-1 tsp
Milk (Luke warm)-1/2 cup
Egg-1
Olive oil- As required
Preparation:
- Mix together half cup of water,2 1/2 tsp yeast and 1 tsp of sugar.Set it aside for 5-7 mins
- Once the yeast rises,add luke warm milk ,room temperature butter,salt and egg to the mixture
- Mix together sugar and all purpose flour
- Now add the dry mixture part by part to the wet mixture and knead to a ball.The dough should be soft.
- On to a bowl drizzle some olive oil,transfer the dough to the bowl and keep it in a warm place to rise for 1 hour
- After an hour the dough should be double the size
- Make the dough into 12 equal parts and make it into 12 balls
- To prepare a baking sheet/pan,drizzle some olive oil and spread all over the pan
- Now add all the balls to the pan,spaced accordingly so that they dont stick
- Cover and keep it in a warm place for 30 more minutes
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake them for 12-15 minutes
If you want a hard top buns you can add some oil on top of the bun
If you want a soft top buns use egg wash and spread over the top of the bun
